Conditions of Entry
Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre (TISC).
- All visitors, players, volunteers and attendees at the Centre are required to comply with the following conditions to ensure the safety, integrity, and enjoyment of everyone at the Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre (TISC).
1. General Conduct
- The use of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances is strictly prohibited inside boundaries of 7-11 Anne Street Tamworth which is the location of the centre.
- Smoking or using e-cigarettes is prohibited at the Centre and in the Centre Car-Park.
- If an individual is under the influence or suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs that individual will be refused entry. This is a discretionary decision from management, and the individual is at liberty to provide a written response after being evicted and evidence in writing of sobriety by way of a drug and alcohol test from a legitimate provider.
2. Behavioural standards
- Inappropriate language or discriminatory remarks will not be tolerated under any circumstances. All individuals must treat all participants, officials, and staff with respect and dignity.
- No congregating in the car park of the centre will be permitted, and children are not permitted to play outside the facility in the car park.
- All players are expected to play with humility and respect for others which includes sportsmanship conduct in accordance with the relevant national standards governing sports
- TISC seeks to provide a safe space for camaraderie and fair competition, and all participants are expected to prioritize teamwork and sportsmanship..
3. Attire and Equipment
Appropriate training gear must be worn and all footwear must have non-marking soles; spiked shoes are prohibited.
- Offensive, dirty, or torn clothing, including work boots, are not permitted in the centre. Personal cricket equipment and bags must be stored in designated areas and the centre takes no responsibility for any lost or damaged equipment or stolen equipment.
4. Facility Use
- Patrons not involved in training activities are not permitted in training areas.
- Any member of the public can be refused entry without notice or reason at the discretion of management.
- A Working with Children certificate is a requirement for all umpires, officials, and anyone in a position of authority, including visiting officials a police check may be requested.
- Lane changeover periods are mandatory, and the individual must vacate and return the lane to its pre-condition5 minutes before the end of your booking
- Bowling machines may only be used after completing induction training with management and the individual assumes all risk and control with the machine following such training.
Users are responsible for starting and finishing at their designated booking times, including setup and cooldown periods.
5. Supervision and Safety
- Children under 18 must be always supervised by a responsible adult.
- Unsupervised children will result in the carer and children being asked to leave.
- Unsafe behaviour:
o Will result in removal from the premises.
o Hanging, bouncing, or climbing on netting, or throwing balls is prohibited, including by children who are under the care of an adult.
- There is a positive obligation that physical, verbal, or mental altercation is reported immediately to TISC management or staff.
6. Booking and Payment
- Users exceeding their allocated time will incur additional charges.
- Entry to the cricket net area is not permitted until the booked time commences
- All users must promptly vacate the facility at the conclusion of their booking.
7. Injuries and Liability
- Participation is at the individual’s own risk. TISC accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained and in accordance with s5f of the Civil Liability Act all users assume responsibility for any obvious risks and management will not be liable for any injuries or reckless conduct.
- In case of injury, TISC staff may provide first aid or call emergency services and will assist with hospital and transport costs in including ambulance costs. .
8. Misconduct
Misconduct includes but is not limited to:
- Dangerous or rough play. Swearing, spitting, sledging, or making obscene gestures. Deliberate physical contact or time-wasting.
- Abuse or mistreatment of equipment or facilities.
- Such conduct may result in ramifications to the individuals team.
- Management will determine the severity of the misconduct and reserve all legal rights in evicting, warning or reprimanding the conduct of the individual.
9. Evacuation Procedures
- Evacuate immediately upon hearing fire alarms or sirens.
- Follow EXIT signs and proceed in an orderly manner to the assembly point on the front grass.
- Do not re-enter the building until given clearance by TISC staff.
10. Policies and Endorsements
- TISC endorses Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Looking After Our Kids Code of Behaviour and general standards of conduct and legislation protecting children and providing a safe space for sport.
11. Facility Rights
- Our facility and attendance at the facility is a privilege, not a given right. TISC reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate memberships without explanation or refund.
- Negative behaviour on social media will result in denial of access.
- Players who have been denied access to TISC cannot come in under a different franchise, club, or sub-sport.
- Players denied access to TISC may also be denied access to any other operations within 7-11 Anne Street, Tamworth.
- This document can change at any time without notice and will be reviewed every 12 months and by entering the facility you agree to the terms which will be on our website and at reception. A copy will be placed at the entry to TISC, on social media, and at the reception desk.
- . Members who breach these conditions may be terminated and barred from the facility without prior incident, and no refunds will be provided.
- Access can be denied at the front gate and door of the facility and any disparaging social media posts about the facility or any employee, volunteer or director of the facility in such a role can result in suspension or eviction from the centre with a show cause letter sent.
- The centre has 24-hour surveillance for security purposes and all individuals entering the facility consent to such surveillance which will only be used for safety and security purposes or to review misconduct or any allegations levelled against another person, player or the centre.
Drug and Alcohol Policy for Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre (‘The Centre’)
Tamworth Indoor Sorts Centre provides a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for athletes, coaches, staff, and spectators involved in indoor sports. This policy is designed to prevent the misuse of drugs and alcohol, ensuring the safety, health, and performance of all participants while promoting the integrity of the sport.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for indoor sports.
• Ensure compliance with anti-doping rules and regulations and compliance with the Crimes Act 1900.
• Safeguard the health and safety of all participants and spectators.
• Address and prevent drug and alcohol misuse in a manner consistent with organizational values.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
• All athletes, coaches, referees, support staff, and volunteers involved in Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre
• Spectators and visitors attending events or activities organized by Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre
• All indoor facilities, venues, and transportation used for team activities.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited within the context of indoor sports activities:
• Possession, use, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs in accordance with the relevant provisions of Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985.
• Entering or participating in games, training sessions, or events while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any substance that impairs performance or safety.
• Misuse or abuse of prescription or over-the-counter medication.
• Alcohol consumption within indoor sports venues and in proximity including the car park by athletes, coaches, staff.
4. Behaviour
- All athletes competing are required to comply with the relevant regulations imposed by the legislation. To ensure the safety of all participants for investigation purposes the centre reserves its rights to remove individuals if they believe on reasonable grounds that an individual is under the influence.
5. Disciplinary Actions
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary actions, which could include:
• Suspension from participation or access to facilities.
• Expulsion from the team or organization for repeated or severe violations.
• Referral to law enforcement for criminal conduct. All disciplinary measures will be proportional to the violation and applied consistently in line with organizational codes of conduct.
6. Education and Awareness
The centre is committed to educating and supporting athletes, staff, and volunteers on:
• The dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
• The importance of adhering to anti-doping regulations.
• Resources available for substance-related support.
7. Spectator Guidelines
Spectators are expected to:
• Comply with venue regulations regarding alcohol consumption.
• No illegal drugs or alcohol into the venue.
• Respect the safety and enjoyment of others by behaving responsibly.
Violations by spectators will result in immediate removal from the venue and may involve law enforcement and such decisions are purely discretionary by the Centre Management.
8. Acknowledgment
By engaging, playing, volunteering, and attending the Centre all individuals acknowledge and accept the terms and will be bound by such terms upon signing or entering the facility.
